Make Bangladesh easier to source from, and its factories easier to buy from.
Buyers need to know which supplier, which facility and which product they are actually dealing with, and whether the evidence behind that holds up. Factories need a faster, clearer way to show they are ready.
TradeProof does that verification and evidence work directly, as a specialist desk between the two sides, not as another layer of general sourcing.
One case at a time. Bounded scope, checked evidence, plain language.
A simplified illustration of how one supplier review might read partway through. Not a live system or a real client record.
The order can be ready while the evidence is not.
A purchase order can be signed, a price agreed and a ship date fixed, while basic questions about the supply chain behind it are still open.
Most delays and disputes trace back to one of these four being unclear when it mattered.
Where does this fit for you?
International buyers
For sourcing teams, buying offices and brands working with Bangladesh suppliers.
Evidence Pilot
A contained first engagement on one supplier or product family, so both sides can see how TradeProof works before anything larger is agreed.
- One named supplier, facility or product family.
- A working assessment against the status definitions used across every case.
- A plain account of what is confirmed, what is missing and what it would take to close the gap.
Bangladesh Supplier Assurance Desk
The ongoing service once a pilot has shown fit: a standing point of contact that keeps supplier identity, factory scope, certificate validity, product composition and origin evidence checked and current for the suppliers you name.
- Supplier identity and factory scope confirmed against primary sources.
- Certificate validity and product composition kept current, not checked once and forgotten.
- Origin evidence reviewed and gaps flagged before they become a shipment problem.
DPP Data Readiness: early preparation for the EU's Digital Product Passport requirements, so the underlying supplier and product records are in usable shape before they become mandatory. See DPP Readiness below for the current regulatory timeline.
Bangladesh factories
For manufacturers who want to be easier for international buyers to say yes to, and who may be sitting on capacity or assets not currently earning their keep.
Sourcing partners
For agents, buying houses and service providers who work between international buyers and Bangladesh factories.
- Evidence support for the supplier relationships you already manage, without taking those relationships over.
- A specialist desk to route buyer evidence requests to, when they fall outside what your team handles directly.
- Shared standards for what counts as sufficient evidence, so your recommendations hold up under buyer scrutiny.
How a case actually moves.
Define
Agree exactly which supplier, facility, product or asset the case covers, and what evidence would settle it.
Connect
Get directly to the people and records that can confirm it, on the factory or supplier side.
Check
Verify what has been provided against its source, and mark clearly what still cannot be confirmed.
Maintain
Keep the record current as suppliers, certificates or orders change, instead of letting it go stale after the first check.
What the status labels mean
These are working assessments made for a specific commercial case. They are not statutory certifications, laboratory results or legal findings, and they do not replace them.
Specialisation requires boundaries.
TradeProof works on one part of a much larger trade and compliance landscape: the supplier and product evidence that sits behind a sourcing decision. That focus is deliberate.
What TradeProof does
- Verify supplier identity and factory scope against primary sources.
- Check certificate validity and product composition records.
- Review origin evidence and flag what is missing.
- Help factories organise idle or underused industrial assets, and manage their recovery or sale.
What TradeProof is not
- A certification body or statutory auditor.
- A testing laboratory.
- A legal or customs adviser.
- A general sourcing or quality-inspection agency.
- A Digital Product Passport certifier.
Where a case needs one of these, TradeProof works alongside the relevant certifier, laboratory, auditor or adviser rather than in place of them.
DPP Readiness
- The Digital Product Passport is introduced under the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.
- The DPP Registry is expected to become operational in July 2026.
- Textile-specific requirements sit on an indicative timetable of Q3-Q4 2027.
- Once a delegated act for a product category is adopted, an 18-month transition period follows before its requirements apply.
TradeProof's DPP Data Readiness work prepares the underlying supplier and product records early. It does not issue Digital Product Passports and is not a substitute for legal or regulatory advice.
Built where trade, evidence and factory operations meet.
TradeProof is a venture from Obsidian Global Studio, an operating studio that builds ventures at the intersection of mobility, trade and organisational infrastructure out of Bangladesh.
It sits alongside the studio's other ventures, including VisaStack, cross-border mobility infrastructure, and Travel Router, strategic mobility built around the Bangladeshi passport, sharing the same emphasis on evidence, verification and plain, checkable claims.
TradeProof's early direction is led by Nazmus Sadat, founder of Obsidian Global Studio.
Bring one case that is already costing time, confidence or value.
That might be a supplier a buyer will not approve without more evidence, a certificate close to expiry, a product family with incomplete records, or a factory asset that has been sitting idle longer than it should.
A few compact questions
Is TradeProof a certification body or auditor?
No. TradeProof verifies supplier and product evidence for a specific commercial case and produces a working assessment. It does not issue statutory certifications and is not an accredited auditor or laboratory. Where formal certification is required, TradeProof works alongside the relevant body.
Does TradeProof replace our existing inspection or compliance provider?
No. It sits alongside them, focused specifically on who the supplier is, what the facility can do and whether the paperwork behind a product holds up, rather than on inspection, testing or certification itself.
What is the Bangladesh Supplier Assurance Desk?
TradeProof's core service for international buyers: an ongoing point of contact that keeps supplier identity, factory scope, certificate validity, product composition and origin evidence checked and current for the suppliers you name.
Are Recover and Realise relevant to us as a buyer?
Usually not directly. Those services help Bangladesh factories identify and deal with idle capacity or assets. They are separate from the buyer-side assurance work, and are mentioned here because the same factory relationships often touch both.
What happens after I raise a case?
TradeProof reviews what you have shared, confirms whether it is a fit, and comes back with a plain description of what it would take to resolve it. There is no automatic enrolment in a larger programme.
